STD Symptoms STDs or sexually transmitted diseases can be transmitted through various forms of sexual contact. This includes vaginal, oral and anal sex. Although these diseases are all contracted through sexual intercourse, their symptoms may vary. For every STD, there is a set of symptoms that people should be informed of. For Chlamydia, the STD symptoms include abnormal discharge from the penis or vagina. Men may experience a burning sensation when they urinate. They may also observe pain in the testicles. Chlamydia symptoms may develop to skin lesions and eye inflammations. As for women, the symptoms may lead inflammation in the organs within the pelvic region. Chlamydia is definitely curable so it is necessary that once these symptoms are observed, the patient should immediate seek medical attention. Another STD, genital herpes is a viral infection that is experienced by a lot of people. However, the STD symptoms may be so mild that people barely notice the condition. Some of these symptoms include the development of sores, blisters and bumps on the sex organs as well as on the areas nearby. There may also be itching and burning sensations. Gonorrhea is another common form of STD. In men, Gonorrhea exhibits little or no symptoms. As for women, there may be bloody or yellowish vaginal discharge. One of the most common STDs, syphilis is more serious. The symptom of syphilis starts with painless sores. If left untreated, the symptoms will develop to skin rash as well as lead to conditions like fever, sore throat, headaches and muscle pain. If the patient still fails to get proper medical attention, all the physical symptoms will disappear. However, this is more dangerous since even though there are no more lesions and sores, the infection remains in the body, threatening the brain, bones, eyes, heart and blood vessels. |
