Acid Reflux
Dealing with Acid Reflux and Options for Treatment.
Acid reflux occurs when the contents of the stomach, usually acids, go back up the esophagus during or even after meal. This is the reason why sometimes it is known as gastroesophageal reflux (GER). The reflux happens when the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), opens while food is not yet in the stomach and still at the end of the esophagus. |
